27 weeks - pictures only

My posts have really been crappy, consisting only of pictures as the weeks go by, but what can I say. Third trimester fatigue is settling in. I work all day, I come home and eat, then I sit on the couch and usually fall asleep to whatever we are watching by 9:00pm. It's been SO HOT outside, too, which wears me out even more. It's going to be a looooong 10-13 weeks!

Here is a picture from this morning, 27 weeks aka first day of my third trimester. Notice how big my lips and nose are. It's crazy what pregnancy does to you. (And if anyone is wondering, I am wearing scrub pants because I was about to leave for work)

26 weeks - pictures only

I have been a boring poster lately. Nothing new to talk about except that I had my glucose tolerance test on Tuesday and failed it, so now I have to go do the 3 hour long test on Saturday morning to see if I have gestational diabetes. I borrowed my dad's glucose meter today though and every time I checked it it was normal, even after Frosted Flakes, juice and yogurt for breakfast! So, we will see. Say a prayer! I want a healthy baby!

Here is my belly at 26 weeks, taken yesterday:

25 weeks - pictures only

I am only going to do a survey every 4 weeks now. So I did one at 24 weeks/6 months which means I will do one at 28 weeks/7 months, 32 weeks/8 months, 36 weeks/9 months and (if I make it there) 40 weeks / 10 months.

The only thing bigger since 24 weeks are my poor boobs, which are ridden with stretch marks now. They have been hurting and itching SO much. I can't imagine what they will look like when my milk comes in after the baby is born. Goodbye perky breasts!
Belly button (almost all the way out!) and dark line
Side view.

PS - I am currently dealing with my 4th or 5th cold since becoming pregnant. Seriously awful. I wish this were the last one, but I know it wont be. My last one was only 8 weeks ago!

The second most beautiful thing I have ever seen

Next to seeing Lauryn on ultrasound with a beating heart for the first time... this is the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen, something else I have waited my whole life to see, since I was a little girl and dreamed about being a nurse, all the nights I stayed up tired studying and worrying about exams, all the tears I shed over difficult clinicals and mean clinical instructors. It ALL lead to this:
I PASSED! I'm an RN! And soon to be mother! Two things I have always dreamed about. 2010 is a great year.

Comment verification

Due to the amount of Chinese comments I have been getting that include links to Asian porn, I now am verifying all comments. Thank you to the perverts who like to make normal people's lives easier. I mean, seriously, on an infertility blog?!

On a lighter note, I am taking my state nursing exam tomorrow. So, if you think about it, say a prayer for me around 8:00am EST. Thank you!

24 weeks aka 6 months

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 20 lbs. from pre-pregnancy (ok, I am beginning to freak out about the weight gain. I am trying to eat better... like more fruits and veggies for snacks instead of cookies, lol. We will see if it works!)
Maternity clothes? Yep! I love them!
Sleep: Horrible thanks to our youngest dog. She WILL NOT SLEEP lately. We have had to put her in her crate at night the past few nights so we can get sleep.
Best moment this week: Jimmy feeling the baby kicking for the first time :o) He was so excited and in awe.
Movement: All the time. Mostly in the morning on the way to work and in the afternoon. She likes to kick when I am driving. I think it might be the music I play in the car.
Food cravings: Same old same old. Love sweets, but try my hardest to stay away from them!
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? It's not all the way out yet, but I think it will be by the time I am 7 months/28 weeks
What I miss: Sleeping on my back and being able to roll over in bed without major discomfort.
What I am looking forward to: Meeting our little girl in 13 to 16 weeks!
Weekly Wisdom: "You're all belly. Don't worry so much about the weight!"
Milestones: Viability! 24 weeks marks Lauryn being viable, which means if she is born prematurely now, she has an 85% chance of survival compared to last week at 20%!

Baby's room so far

Well, we did a lot last weekend to prepare the room for the baby furniture coming in this week. We got the furniture in today and put it together. Here is what the baby's room looks like. All we need now is the crib mattress, glider & ottomon, curtains, paint and the artwork for the wall that my friend is making. We're almost ready for you, Lauryn!

Crib (no mattress yet)
Changing table (I need to remove that pesky warning sticker)

It's so weird to have a baby's room! It feels so real now!
